With the election coming up and the country in a downward out of control spiral, I wonder how so many people can still vote with the left. It's not a matter of skin color, it's a matter of wanting strong leaders to govern us in a Biblical way. There are just so many things wrong with the lefts views. First, during the DNC they took God out of their platform and only after the media brought it up, did they put a mention of God back in. Yet many, many people said they did not want Him back in, not once, but 3 times. It saddens and sickens me that there are people out there who think that everything they have just appeared. God should always be the center of out lives. I am far from perfect and never claim to be, but I try to live my life for God and know that through Jesus I have salvation.
I struggle with the fact that so many Christians support Obama. Everything that he stands for is so far the opposite from what the Bible tells us is the right way to live. I have people in my family that it just blows my mind that they still stand behind the democrat party. I am in no way judging anyone. I just don't know how, if anyone prayed about who they should vote for, could still vote for the left.
Yes, Jesus wants us to help others, but he also wants us to live our lives to glorify Him. Taking from others, to give to others who in no way want to help themselves is not the way. Charity is a wonderful thing, but it's not supposed to be a way of living. Also, not being educated and just taking others at their word is not only wrong, but it is so scary.
Being politically correct is also condemning this country and causing us to collapse even faster. I feel that everyone deserves a fair chance, but doing it by alienating others is not right. You can't take but so much from people before no one has anything. That is where we are headed if something is not done quickly.
We as a country need to stand together and let the word know that we are strong and we will not be bullied into letting others dictate to us how things should be done. We as Christians need to stand together and let those that govern us, that we will not concede out faith and we will always be faithful to God and He is the ultimate ruler and His word is the word to live by.
I pray that as people vote, they really think about who can govern us as God would want us to be governed. If those that say they are Christians truly listen to God, we will have a new president and we will have a chance of survival.

God and paryer
I can't imagine what the families and victims of the terrible Colorado shooting are going through. My heart goes out to them, and they are in my prayers. This was an inexcusable act by an intelligent man. It was thought out and meant to kill hundreds. There is no way that I could say that he was insane, but he is crazy. For someone to have thought through the process enough to have stock piled an arsenal the way he did, it was pre-meditated murder. Those involved, the citizens of Aurora, the citizens of Colorado and the citizens of the United States will forever be changed.
Something that really bothers me is that in a week or two, the media will down play this and begin to once again listen to the few loud mouth, overbearing people who want to ban prayer and take God out of our lives. I just can't seem to understand how the media can keep talking about praying for the victims and for healing, and then turn around and push the agenda of those who want to take that all away from us. Prayer and God need to be part of our everyday lives, through the good and bad times. God did not cause this horrible act to be done, that was the work of satan. We as Christians have allowed our beliefs to be trampled on, because we didn't want to offend anyone. It's time to take a stand for what is right and to be louder than those who hate us. This happened with the Virginia Tech shootings, Fort Hood, Columbine and the Oklahoma City bombing, as well as the terrorist attack on 9\11. We have prayer vigils for a while, then we let them take prayer out of schools, away from sporting events and every other function that people gather for. We have allowed the government to shut the doors on our religions freedoms by bowing to non-believers. It saddens me that it takes a tragedy to bring people together in prayer. Instead people should just pray and have a relationship with God. I'm by no means saying that those affected didn't have a relationship with God. What I am saying is that it has to be a priority and not a convenience for all. We can not let God get kicked out of our country and our lives.
Stand for what you believe in and make God the priority!!

For Mom
On November 18th my world changed. I stopped by Mom's on the way to work and I knew she wasn't getting any better from the day before. I made sure that she had her phone and was comfortable and covered up to stay warm. A couple hours later I tried to call and it went to voicemail, so I decided to leave work and check on her. When I got there she was worse than the first time I stopped by that day. I called the doctor and we made the decision to go to the hospital. As I tried getting her ready and calling people to let them know, she kept losing strength. I called 911 and before I got off the phone she was already in heaven.
For the next few days my sister and I did what was needed to make Mom proud.
I decided that I wanted to speak at the funeral, which is so not me, I can't stand to be in front a lot of people and especially talk. I was very proud of what I wrote and said about my Mom, so this is it:
Mom was a pillar of strength, love and support.
She lived life to the fullest and always made the best out of every situation. She was always happy, smiling and laughing, from the inside out.
Mom was so giving to everyone in every was.
She was not just a friend, but she was the best friend and was alwys there for you no matter what it may be.
Mom was the strongest person that I may ever know and I hope to be half the person she was.
Mom put her heart and soul into whatever it was that she was doing.
She absolutely loved her grandchildren and was so proud of everything they did.
She was a wonderful mother and taught us that no matter what happens in life that God will get you through it.
She was an amazing sister and a special friend to a very special person.
Her unwavering faith is something that I strive to have.
She was such a bright, happy sould that lifted you up just by her smile.
Mom knew what words to say to heal anyhurt and to shine light into anything dark. Mom was an angel on earth and now she is an angel in heaven and her brightlight will shine through us all forever.
This is not good-bye, but only until we meet again and we know that she will be right there waiting with open arms.
We love you Mom and thank you fro all that you have done for all of us and for showing us unconditional never ending love.
No more tears!!"
